Checking Your Water Pressure

November 20th, 2007

If you have noticed problems with low water pressure in your home then you are probably anxious to figure out what the problem is. Believe it or not, but there are quite a few different things that could be causing your low home water pressure. Some of the problems may be quite easy to identify while others may be a bit more challenging. The first thing you should check when you have water pressure problems are the valves that run from the street to your home. When you see the valves just make sure they are in the open position. Sometimes these valves can get a little bit closed and reduce your water pressure. The next thing you should check is the main water valve. You want to see if it is in the open position or not. Making sure it is in the full open position is important to your water pressure. If you have checked both of these things and there is no problem with either then your problem may be something else and you will need to call a professional to help you find the problem.
